Trice Law Group charges attorney’s fees based on the type of matter, in the same way that most law firms charge. Some matters are charged on an hourly fee basis, with the charges calculated on the basis of the number of hours spent at a set hourly rate. For other types of matters, the firm may charge a flat fee. Finally, in cases where a financial recovery is possible, such as personal injury cases, the firm may charge on a contingent fee basis, which means the fee is calculated based on a percentage of the amount recovered in the case.
Attorney David Trice discusses the legal fees in the free initial consultation that every prospective client receives. Before any fees are charged or due, the firm sends an engagement letter detailing how fees will be charged. The client must agree to the terms in the engagement letter by signing and returning the engagement letter in order to retain David Trice to provide the legal services described in the letter. An attorney-client relationship does not exist until the engagement letter is finalized.
